Co-ed Adult Hip Hop Party Moves - Total Beginners - 4/19/24

NOTE:
   1. This class is only ONCE or TWICE a month and not every month so don't miss out!

   3. Sign ups are via pre-pay in advance only and it's only an 8 student limit in a very large studio.

WHO:
Co-ed and All ages 18 and Over
NOTE: The class is Coed and the moves are gender neutral (non-partner) moves but we do not control the ratio between men and women

LEVEL: 

• Co-ed, Beginners who are comfortable with movement - Total Beginners with no dance experience are also welcome. 
• Dance moves are gender neutral and are not partner moves
• NOTE: If you are unable to hear the beat and are very uncomfortable with movement then you may prefer a private lesson.
• Class is low impact on the knees with little to no jumping and no crawling on the floor type of dance moves. 

WHY THIS CLASS?

• Optional Videos and pics taken of the students at the end of each class to track our progress
• This is the ONLY Class of it's kind (in the DC area) that teaches Hip Hop Party Moves that we know of.
• Class has only 8 students (less than a typical dance class that could have 20 to 30 students).  
• Class costs less than the drinks you might buy during 1 night out Clubbing & less than 1 therapy session and some students say dance class is their weekly therapy.
• This class will give you a workout, teach you a new skill, AND help you to make new friends IN PERSON!
• NOTE: This class is held once or twice a month and not every month.  Don't miss out and regret it later.  You only live once!

VIDEOS:
We don't do choreography in the class but something similar to choreography which is a repetitive routine to get the moves into your muscle memory.  You can see a recent sample end of class video to the left of the class description (if on computer) or at the bottom of this page (on your phone).


CLASS CURRICULUM:

• Get off your screens and come make some new friends while learning some new moves!  2024 is the year for getting comfortable being uncomfortable!  End this year knowing that you accomplished a goal of learning something NEW!
• Learn some Hip Hop Party Moves you can use at clubs, parties, and weddings.  We also do some fun team bonding activities in the class to get everyone out of their shells and help build confidence.  
• Learn popular gender neutral Hip Hop Party moves in a repetitive routine (not choreography) so that you can master and learn the moves properly.  We only do 6 to 10 moves per class.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Your class instructor Amina is the owner of District Groove.  Amina has 18 years of Hip Hop Dance teaching experience and has performed and taught dance on Cruise Ships as well as at large Corporate Events.  Her Adult Hip Hop Classes have been featured in The Washington Post as well as several Local News Channels. Amina loves sharing dance with her local commuity and she loves to help build confidence in her students.  Her class is a safe space for students to make mistakes, have fun, make friends, and encourage each other.

REFUND POLICY:  Non-refundable and no make-ups - BUT the only refund exception is if you take the class and don't like it and ONLY if you text Amina at (301) 641-6055 within 24 hours of attending the 1st class.  If your class doesn't fill you will be notified and refunded.  So please tell your friends to join.

DISCOUNTS:  $10 will be refunded to you per student who signs up after you do, due to your recommendation.  The student must be new to Amina's class. To get this discount please text Amina at (301) 641-6055 with your name and inform her of the names of the students who signed up due to your recommendation and she will send the $10 back to you per student.
