Tanuja Paruchuri is a food lover who believes that healthy food does not have to taste bland. She has created several recipes and meals for her businesses based on her own transition to a healthier lifestyle. She is the founder and owner of Food for Thin. Her business is designed to address health and happiness through food and nutrition with the added benefit of weight-loss.
Frustrated with her diet and weight, Tanuja joined Weight Watchers in 2008, but the program was not for her. In her view, the point of weight loss was about healthiness…not just carb, point, and calorie counting. Determined to lose weight her way, Tanuja methodically researched nutritionally rich foods and with her newly expanded palate, Tanuja decided to explore with different ingredients and new types of cuisine.
Two years later, Tanuja has gone from a size 10 to a size 0, successfully lost 40 pounds, and adapted to a healthy day-to-day lifestyle that has given her more confidence and energy. She has also turned her healthy cooking into a growing business and is writing a cookbook, which she hopes to publish by the end of this year.
