Bring your own digital SLR or point and shoot digital camera (a manual mode function is preferable, but not required)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This Beginners photography class will teach you the core knowledge you need to take the photographs you want!   You will enhance your photography skills so that you can take more professional looking photos.  Bring your own point and shoot camera (a manual mode function on a point and shoot is preferable, but not required) or digital SLR.  Learn camera functions, composition, how to avoid common mistakes, depth of field, exposure, the use of lighting, and how to pose for photos.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Rachel Dawn Lincoln is the owner of her own photography business, Dawn Lincoln Photography.  All of the photographs on this page were taken by Rachel.  She has been photographing for the past 15 years, and was published at the age 19.  She has been working as a professional photographer in DC for the past four years.  Her Subjects include President Obama,  Disney, political campaigns, small businesses, weddings, and schools.  Rachel’s photography has taken her all over the world, including Morocco, Alaska, Egypt, France, Germany, Belgium, and of course, Washington D.C.
